TGP Zoom High Holy Day Etiquette

Welcome to our Zoom High Holy Day Services.

While on Zoom, our rooms and screens create our TGP Virtual Sanctuary.  Please observe a dress code and posture appropriate for a Virtual Sanctuary.  Wear something that makes you feel special. Men, and women who choose to, please wear a head covering, and a Tallit/prayer shawl if you have one.

Find a place in your home conducive to peace and prayer. Think of it as going to shul.

Please review the following:

  • Services are shorter than usual - please join us promptly for the beginning of each service.

  • You will be muted when entering a Zoom Service. Please keep all background noises turned off.

When you are “muted”, the small ‘microphone symbol’ in the corner of your square will have a red line through it.  If you are joining by landline or cellphone, you may mute and un-mute yourself by pressing *6.

  • Please do not eat or drink during Zoom Services. If you must eat, please move away from your screen.

  • If you are in a room with someone else, please share a device. Two devices in use near each other cause echo noises for everybody in the Service.

  • Please ensure when joining by  Zoom, that your "screen name” is showing. For the safety of the congregation, we must know who is joining us. Our Zoom Professional can only allow you into the Zoom Room if your screen name is clear and recognized by us. Guest information should have already been submitted to the office for our Zoom professional to know who they are.

We look forward to this new experience together, and wish you a sweet, prosperous, healthy New Year.  Shanah Tovah!
