Jewish Paper Cutting
Temple Gates of Prayer is proud to present a Jewish Paper Cutting class led by Adam Whiteman. The course will consist of three two hour classes during which the participants will learn how to "read" a Jewish papercut and will learn the techniques they will need to make their own. All materials will be supplied. Class size is limited to 12. We are pleased to announce that the Paper Cutting class will continue this summer Adam Whiteman began paper cutting almost 20 years ago in KlezKamp under Tsirl Waletzky. He has taught paper cutting at KlezKamp for a number of years. His paper cut illustrations have been featured in the Grine Katshke CD, Mume Blume, a Yiddish children's book by Beyle Gottesman, and a number of web sites. He has also exhibited at the Ashkenaz Festival in Toronto. When he isn't paper cutting, he is a financial consultant wotking with the airport industry. Please RSVP by May 20, 2008 [Daily
